MK Stalin Commits to Ending NEET Corruption

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has declared his administration’s commitment to abolishing the “NEET scam,” asserting that education should be accessible to all students regardless of their socio-economic background. Addressing the public on Wednesday, Stalin emphasized the need for a fair education system that does not discriminate against underprivileged students.

“Education is the only asset that no one can steal from you. But even in that, there are scams like NEET. That’s why we are strongly objecting to it. Tamil Nadu was the first to say that NEET is fraudulent. Now the entire country has started to say it. We will put an end to it. It’s our responsibility. Society, financial condition or political situation should not be an obstacle for students in their education. That’s the principle of this Dravidian government,” said MK Stalin.

Stalin’s remarks come in the wake of numerous complaints and controversies surrounding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), which many critics argue puts rural and economically disadvantaged students at a significant disadvantage. The Chief Minister highlighted that the current system favors those who can afford extensive coaching and resources, thus widening the gap between different sections of society.

This commitment is part of a broader effort by the Tamil Nadu government to promote social justice and educational equity. The administration plans to introduce measures aimed at reducing the reliance on standardized tests like NEET and enhancing the quality of state-run educational institutions.

As the debate over NEET continues, Stalin’s vow to combat its associated corruption and inequities reflects his administration’s dedication to fostering a more just and accessible education system in Tamil Nadu.
